As the weather turns colder, we often think about adding layers to our own wardrobes. Pet owners also start considering how to keep their furry friends warm and protected from the chill. A Japanese Twitter user named Mifuyu created a cozy little nest for their cats, hoping they would use it to warm up. However, the cats had other plans, leading to some amusing situations.
Many cats love high places. So, when presented with a domed cat bed, they often prefer to relax on top rather than inside. This was exactly the case for one of Mifuyu's cats, who decided to climb onto the roof of the cozy bed and flatten it, all while its housemate was sleeping inside! Mifuyu jokingly commented, "This is a case of misuse."
Mifuyu explained that one cat loves to hide inside the bed, while the other prefers to lounge on top. This often results in the peculiar scene of one cat squashing the bed with another cat inside. It was an unforeseen issue when the bed was purchased, as the two cats have completely opposite preferences.
Despite the flattened bed, Mifuyu doesn't regret the purchase. The cats are spending more time together, and their bond has strengthened. There's no bullying or fighting over the space. Mifuyu advises others to consider their cat's habits before buying similar products. Otherwise, their cats might just end up using the bed as a sofa!
