Developed in collaboration with furniture brand LIXIL, the Cat Wall provides a sturdy and comfortable structure for cats to climb up and down, offering them a reliable support while they play. The crowdfunding campaign has already been successfully funded and sparked enthusiastic discussions among Japanese netizens.
The idea for the Cat Wall came from feedback by Felissimo's cat-owning members who wished to create a playground for their cats at home, allowing them freedom to climb without occupying too much space. Many existing products were bulky, so Felissimo sought a more space-efficient solution.
The concept is simple yet clever: using magnets, these containers that look like cardboard can be attached directly to home walls, enabling cats to climb, walk, or even lounge inside. The arrangement can be customized based on the cat's age or preference, creating a cozy and personalized cat habitat.
This magnetic system saves space and avoids the hassle of drilling holes, making it easy to set up a cat's nook anywhere in the house. Various shapes such as small tunnels, boxes, and steps can be mixed and matched to provide both activity and comfort for your feline friend.
The materials are carefully chosen to be comfortable for cats, using felt that cats prefer over typical cardboard or acrylic. The Cat Wall can support up to 20 kilograms, so it's sturdy enough for most cats except perhaps the very elderly ones.
Currently, the product is available in multiple colors and three different styles, mostly in simple, understated tones that blend well with various home decors. Felissimo plans to make the Cat Wall widely available to cat lovers after its official release.
