About a month ago during a walk, Ginji unexpectedly encountered a raccoon dog (tanuki). Since then, every time Ginji passes that spot on his daily walks, he sits down and refuses to leave, as if longing to see the raccoon dog once more.

Ginji is an 8-year-old male Shiba Inu who recently became a viral sensation online. According to his owner, about a month ago during a walk, Ginji passed by a manhole cover and unexpectedly came across a raccoon dog. Ever since, whenever Ginji walks past that manhole cover, he sits down and refuses to move, seemingly waiting for the raccoon dog to show up again.

A Heartfelt Wait That Continues
At first, Ginji's owner found his behavior simply cute and amusing. However, after more than a month with no sign of Ginji giving up, the owner began to worry.
