Bunny Grass Snack DIY: Pineapple Banana Hay Cookies

Want to spoil your bunny with a healthy homemade treat? Try making these Pineapple Banana Hay Cookies! They're fruity, fragrant, and fun to make — plus your bunny will absolutely love them.

Materials You'll Need

  • Hay powder: about one bowl
  • Banana: one (or half)
  • Pineapple: a small amount

Steps

  1. Prepare your ingredients. Since fruits are sweet, use them moderately—just enough for flavor and aroma.
  2. Cut and mix. Dice the pineapple into tiny cubes and set aside. Mash the banana, then mix it evenly with the hay powder. Be careful when handling the knife!
  3. Shape your cookies. Take a small portion of the banana–hay mix and press it into a mold. Aim for a thickness of about 1 cm to 1.8 cm.
  4. Add decoration. Place a few pineapple bits on top and press lightly — just for a touch of color and sweetness.
  5. Dry the cookies. Place the molded cookies into a food dehydrator set to low heat. Alternatively, you can use a small oven at low temperature (around 40–50°C or 30–40 minutes). Adjust the drying time depending on the thickness — they're ready when they feel crisp.

Note: Make sure the cookies are completely dry! Any moisture left inside could cause spoilage during storage.

Once dry, these fragrant and crunchy treats are ready to serve! Hearing your bunny nibble happily on your handmade cookies is such a satisfying reward — give it a try!
