Generally, it is recommended that opened canned food be left at room temperature for no more than 2 to 4 hours. However, if the indoor environment is hot, humid, and poorly ventilated, bacteria such as Salmonella and Escherichia coli can multiply rapidly, causing the food to spoil within just 2 hours.
Proper Handling of Wet Cat Food
