Pomeranian Runs Covered in Sticky Rice Balls as Owner Struggles to Defrost

In Japan, a pet owner shared a delightful moment of their Pomeranian dog frolicking in the snow during a record-breaking snowfall. The dog, named Kohaku, was seen joyfully running around, accumulating large, round snowballs on its fur that resembled "white dumplings." As temperatures dropped and heavy snowfall began in many areas, Kohaku's playful antics captured the attention of many.

The owner revealed on social media (X: @kohakupome589) that one morning, a significant snowfall occurred, leaving about 40 centimeters of snow and setting a record for December's deepest snow accumulation. Kohaku was particularly intrigued by the snow outside and insisted on going out to play. Once outside, the dog happily dashed around, but soon the owner noticed that Kohaku had developed several white, ball-like clumps all over its body.

These clumps were formed when snow stuck to the dog's fur and kept accumulating, growing larger like rolling snowballs. This was the first time Kohaku had become so adorned with snowballs, leaving a lasting impression on its owner. After some time playing in the snow, the owner took Kohaku inside for a bath to melt away all the accumulated snow. During this process, Kohaku playfully bit into several of the snowballs, showcasing an innocent curiosity that melted the owner's heart.

This charming incident highlights not only the joy pets bring during winter but also the unique experiences they create for their owners.
