Dear cat-loving readers, do you enjoy snuggling your cats? Although cats generally dislike humans getting too close, perhaps it's precisely because of this that successfully cuddling a cat feels especially rewarding. Some people love the scent of a cat's paw pads, others enjoy nuzzling the top of a cat's head, but the most common way seems to be burying one's entire face into a cat's belly.
That said, compared to a certain X (formerly Twitter) user named "Valve P" (@WTM666WW), any usual way of snuggling cats might seem rather tame. Recently, this user posted a set of cat photos. Although the cat, named "Umi", looked adorable, the user commented, "The smell is so disgusting it makes me want to vomit." But upon closer inspection... yes, he actually rolled his own "hand-rolled cigarette" using the fur shed by his own cat!
This bizarre and extreme behavior sparked many comments from netizens, such as "Is this what real cat snuggling means...?", "That's not how I know cat snuggling," "The hand-rolled cigarette looks way too perfect, LOL," and "It's like a kind of parent-child bonding."
Even more surprisingly, this isn't the first time this user has done this. Someone asked, "You said before that the smell was super gross, so why do you keep doing it?" The original poster replied, "It's a yearly gratitude ritual during shedding season."
That said, aside from the well-known health risks of smoking, no matter how cute or nicotine-free the cat fur is, inhaling foreign substances is clearly harmful to health. Although the X user likely staged the photos, the last picture does show him lighting the "cigarette" made from cat fur. The gases released when burning hair can cause allergies or respiratory discomfort among other symptoms.
