Kaohsiung, Taiwan, welcomes another paradise for pets with the official opening of the "Green 3 Pet Activity Zone" at Zihguan Kezailiao Harbor. This is Zihguan's first dedicated activity space designed specifically for pets, featuring playful facilities such as a balance beam, wave-shaped boards, and a large grassy area where pets can run freely and happily.
In recent years, Kaohsiung City has continuously worked to create a more pet-friendly environment. To provide a more comfortable recreational space for pets and their owners along the coastal area, the city developed the Green 3 Pet Activity Zone at Zihguan Kezailiao Harbor. The park's entrance is marked by a charming and playful statue of a Maltese dog dressed in a sailor's uniform, symbolizing guidance and friendliness.
The Parks Department announced on May 21 that this is Zihguan's first pet-specific activity area, now officially open to the public. The park is equipped with unique play structures such as a balance beam and wave-shaped boards, alongside expansive lawns that encourage pets to run and interact freely. Thoughtfully designed seating areas allow owners to relax, enjoy the scenery, and spend quality time with their furry friends.
The department also reminds pet owners to keep their pets on a leash outside the designated activity zone and to take appropriate safety precautions while visiting. Additionally, everyone is encouraged to maintain the park's cleanliness by promptly cleaning up after their pets, ensuring this pet haven remains clean, beautiful, and enjoyable for all.
Zihguan Kezailiao Harbor is renowned for its fresh, locally caught seafood and is a key production area for mullet roe. It has been honored three times as one of the nation's top ten charming fishing ports. The surrounding area boasts fresh seafood markets and delicious local snacks, and visitors can enjoy breathtaking views of the golden sunset reflecting over the sea. Pet owners living in the city can easily bring their pets here for a day of fun, seafood dining, and scenic ocean views.
