Man Fatally Attacked by Five Pit Bulls in Missouri

In Missouri, USA, a 46-year-old man named Chris Culbertson was fatally attacked by five pit bulls last November while riding his bicycle past a residential property. Some of the dogs broke through a fence and viciously bit him for 23 minutes. Despite efforts to save him, Culbertson succumbed to his injuries.

According to reports from The Mirror, surveillance footage captured the terrifying incident. As Culbertson was halfway through his bike ride, two pit bulls approached and surrounded him. He fell to the ground, and three more dogs broke through the fence to join the attack.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene to find Culbertson still surrounded by all five pit bulls. Due to the dogs' aggressive behavior, no one dared to intervene immediately. It was only after additional personnel arrived that they were able to rescue him and transport him to the hospital.

By the time he received medical attention, Culbertson had sustained over 300 bite wounds and 100 lacerations, requiring nearly 500 stitches. Unfortunately, four days after surgery, he passed away due to infection from his injuries.

Authorities subsequently charged the dogs' owners, John Thibeaux Sr. and John Thibeaux Jr., with second-degree assault and first-degree manslaughter. The five pit bulls involved in the attack were euthanized.
